Matt and Willa met in October of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. Matt initially invited Willa to a BBQ with his friends. She forgot to respond. A month later, Willa received another message saying, "Damn, I guess you don't like BBQs", to which she immediately responded.

Their first date was at a bar in the Marina. They hit it off immediately and have been inseparable ever since. Matt proposed to Willa on a trip to Cabo in February 2024. He popped the question while they were walking on the beach one night and they got to celebrate the rest of the trip!

Matt and Willa grew up in the Bay Area (within 5 miles of each other), went to the East Coast and Midwest for college, and returned to the Bay Area to be near their families. They now live in San Francisco, where they love to cook, hang out with friends, and bring their puppy, Vinny, to the beach.
